The publication gives both a simple overview of individual Research Council strategies and research portfolios as well as identifying areas of common interest. This document provides a flavour of key cross-Council areas of research and was produced in November 2003. The document was part of a larger project to develop an overarching vision for the direction of the Councils' research over the next ten to twenty years and should be read alongside Vision for Research.
