RCUK asked EPSRC to organise, on behalf of all UK Research Councils and in conjunction with the learned societies, a Review of e-Science in the UK to provide an independent assessment of the quality and impact of the UK Programme.
Following the completion of the Review there will be a public launch of the Review Panel report and findings at a ‘Town Meeting’ which will be held on 9th February 2010 at the RSA, 8 John Adam Street, London, WC2N 6EZ. The meeting will commence at 12:00 noon with registration and lunch and will finish at approx 4:00pm.
The meeting will include a presentation of the report of the Review Panel and a discussion of the findings, in order to begin development of an action plan to take the recommendations forward. The Review Panel’s report will be presented by the Chair of the Review, Professor Dan Atkins, University of Michigan, and copies of the report will be available shortly before the meeting. An agenda will also be available nearer the time.
