Welcome to the website of the Research Councils UK China.
Established in 2007, RCUK China enhances research funding partnerships between the UK and China. We aim to support the best researchers in the UK and China to develop high-quality, high-impact research partnerships.
To date, we have facilitated over £170 million in co-funded programmes supporting 117 UK-China research projects that have involved more than 102 universities and 90 industry partners in both countries.

Four new UK-China partnerships to strengthen research in the social sciences and arts and humanities have been announced today. The announcement coincides with the first official visit to China by RCUK International Champion and Chief Executive of ESRC, Professor Jane Elliott.
The Medical Research Council (MRC), the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) have announced that they will shortly be launching a call for research proposals focusing on antibacterial resistance.
The RCUK China team have produced Shaping the Future, a new publication to promote the achievements and impact of Research Council programmes in China.
