ESFRI (the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures) is updating its Roadmap of Research Infrastructures and has launched a call for proposals for projects to be considered for inclusion on the updated Roadmap. The UK process opens on 18 January 2017. The new roadmap is due to be published in summer 2018.
ESFRI works to support a strategic approach to policy-making on research infrastructures in Europe, and to facilitate initiatives leading to the better use and development of research infrastructures. ESFRI published its first roadmap for the construction and development of the next generation of pan-European research infrastructures in 2006, with updates in 2008, 2010 and 2016.
Submission of new research infrastructure proposals is through ESFRI national delegations or through EIROFORUM. Information for members of the UK scientific community who wish to submit proposals can be found here (MS Word version ). Further guidance can be found on the ESFRI website. The deadline for submitting proposals to the UK ESFRI delegates is 1 June 2017.
