Where there is already a more established relationship, researchers may wish to apply for funds to extend this relationship in the country of choice, by longer visits, repeated visits over a period of time or additional activities such as workshops or building of broader networks. This allows further development of plans for larger scale or longer term funding applications, access to facilities in each country and gaining a greater understanding of the broader research environment including visits to other laboratories and institutions.
Schemes offered by the Research Councils include:
|AHRC||Research Networking Scheme||Worldwide|
|AHRC||AHRC-IRCHSS Research Networks||Ireland|
|EPSRC||Bilateral Research Workshops (N + N meetings)||Worldwide|
|EPSRC||Overseas Travel Grants||Worldwide|
