Research funding organisations from Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Russia, the UK and the USA have signed an agreement which will bring together the best researchers in world to address some of the biggest challenges of the 21st Century.

- Research Councils UK (RCUK) has asked the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) to conduct, on behalf of all the Research Councils, a Review of Energy. Over the next few months interested parties are invited to submit their views on energy to the Review Panel who are keen to hear from a wide audience.
