    The Big Bang is set for 11-13 March 2010 at Manchester Central. Schools, colleges and families will all be welcome - and it’ll be free to get in.

    11-13 March 2010. The Mall Bristol and Cabot Circus

    This free event is open to the general public.

    With around 20 interactive exhibits involving over 100 researchers, this free event will present some of the University’s most exciting work, giving the public a chance to explore aspects of art, science, medicine and engineering, and meet staff and students first hand.

  • Big bubbles – 7th March 10.30-4pm
    Bristol Chemists explore the limits of bubble-making with this interactive demonstration.
    Venue: Bristol's City Museum and Art Gallery, Queen’s Road, Bristol (no booking required).

  • Who would live in a house like this? – 9th March 8pm
    Understanding social identities from the archaeological record
    Venue: At-Bristol, Anchor Road, BS1 5TT. No booking required

  • Discover exhibition – 11-13th March 9am-6pm
    Venue: The Mall Bristol, Broadmead (all dates), and Cabot Circus (Saturday 13 March only).

  • The world's abuzz - Twilight Talk – 11th March 6pm
    This talk presents how different the world is viewed through a microscope.

  • Science cocktails – 16th March 7pm
    Biologists and barmen come together for an evening of conversation and cocktail science.

  • Lovesickness in Renaissance literature and culture - Twilight Talk - 30th March 6pm
    The talk will explore lovesickness and the complex ways it is imagined by writers in plays and poetry from the Renaissance period.
