Bibliometric analysis to support the mapping of research and innovation in India

This report explores the extent and trends in collaborative research publications between the UK and India. The study found that the volume and quality of UK-India research partnerships have increased in recent years.

The current Indian government agenda of a ‘Decade of Innovation’ is driving ambitious policy developments in India, with a target of doubling spending on research and development in the next five-year plan.

The main aim of this declaration is to develop an innovation system in India to stimulate innovations and to produce solutions for societal needs in terms of healthcare, energy, urban infrastructure, water and transportation.
