By focusing our efforts and taking a strategic outlook, RCUK has built an impressive portfolio of collaborative research with India.
Since 2008 when RCUK India was launched, the portfolio of agreed joint funding between RCUK, Indian partners and third parties has grown to over £80 million (prior to 2008 the portfolio was less than £1 million). RCUK is now actively involved in significant co-funded activities with seven different research funders in India.
This strategy details how RCUK engage with India and how the Research Councils plan to develop further a strategic research and innovation bilateral relationship and agree vehicles to enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
