Terms and Conditions of Research Council Training Grants
These terms and conditions relate to training grants, comprising doctoral training
grants (DTGs) and masters training grants MTGs) from the following five Research
Councils:
- Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC)
- Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC)
- Medical Research Council (MRC)
- Natural Environment Research Council (NERC)
- Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC)
The five Research Councils will apply these terms and conditions to training grants
from 1 April 2010

Terms and Conditions of Research Council fEC Grants
In 2005 the Research Councils published a harmonised set of core terms and conditions
for those research grants funded on the basis of full economic costs (fEC). These
terms and conditions were revised in the Spring of 2008 in the light of experience
with fEC and other developments, and combined the terms and conditions for Research
Grants with those for Fellowships into a single harmonised set.
