Additional information for Research Organisation administrators

RO Lite

Researchfish Ltd have made available new dashboard functionality called RO Lite. This is a free interface which enables Research Organisation administrators to view:

  • the awards their organisation holds from funders using researchfish
  • which PIs have made a timely submission to their funders

A more sophisticated management information dashboard is also available from Researchfish Ltd for a subscription of £3,000 per year (+ VAT), but this is not needed in order to fulfil Research Council requirements or for an RO to be able to support its staff in using the system.

Researchfish also provides access to training webinars available on their website. Details on how to register can be found here.

Information about 2017 Submission Period

The 2017 Researchfish Submission Period will run between 6 February and 4pm on 16 March 2017.

It is important to note that this time there will not be a blanket extension given to those RCUK funded award holders who do not submit by the deadline.

Feedback from the RCUK Researchfish regional meetings

RCUK held a series of meetings around the UK in July, August and October 2016 to engage with Research Organisation staff about the research outcomes collection process. A considerable amount of feedback was gathered at these meetings on a wide range of topics and these comments have now been collated into a single document that includes responses from RCUK . The slides from one of the presentations given at these meeting can be found here .

Response Codes guidance

RCUK has produced specific guidance about the use of response codes and the response code change process for the upcoming Submission Period which can be found here.

Planned Communications

Following the positive feedback received we have once again produced a high level plan designed to cover the communications RCUK; or Researchfish on behalf of RCUK; will be sending out that relate to the 2017 Submission Period. In most cases where we ask Researchfish to send out information on our behalf the recipients will see that it is signed ‘on behalf of RCUK’, but please note that the standard invite emails they send out to allow people to register on the system will not. The planned communications document can be found here .
