The RCUK Digital Economy Programme has recently awarded a total of £6 million to fund projects in Grand Challenges within Information Driven Healthcare. These grants will run for a total of 36 months.
This call, which was only open to invited applicants, was for following on funding for those involved in the Exploration Studies for Grand Challenges within Information Driven Healthcare.
Grand Challenges are defined as societal and/or economic problems to which science must be applied to accelerate progress towards major goals and make a significant impact. Grand Challenges should be indentified through the creation of a shared vision between researchers and research users.
