With Climate change being one of the most pressing issues of today, it is important that local authorities have access to the latest research so that their environmental policies are based on reliable information. The aim of this seminar was to disseminate details of research, centres and programmes focusing on climate change, and funded by the Research Councils UK, that are of relevance to Local Authorities. The seminar informed representatives from Local Governments of the resources available to them that could contribute to the creation of research informed dialogue and policies. It was hoped that this will enable Local Authorities to have greater resilience to climate change.
