The 2007 LARCI Summit promoted the strategic partnership between Research Councils and Local Government. The importance of high quality research, relevant to local authorities, was discussed in relation to policy and practice issues facing local authorities. The aim of the summit was to encourage the increased application of research within local authorities to improved services.
