Cities are a foci for investment. But, without a base in science research, economic and social development would be unachievable.
This LARCI seminar offered a unique insight into Manchester’s status as a Science City, exploring the importance of science research, and the local and regional dimensions of Science Cities. Speakers covered a range of research which has played a major part in the development of Manchester as one the UK’s leading Cities of Science, such as: The Policy Context for Science Cities, Success in Innovation, City Regions as Intelligent Territories and Science Cities: Refreshing the Concept for 21st Century Places.
